TV3 closes Russian-language channel 3+ and launches new TV3 Gold.
In just one month’s time, on 9 March, the current Russian-language channel 3+ will cease broadcasting, giving way to the new TV channel TV3 Gold. The new channel will be launched on 10 March at 00.00.
The closure of 3+ is due to a decline in demand from Russian-speaking audiences and advertisers. At the same time, demand for quality content in Estonian remains high. TV3 Gold will offer diverse programming, combining much-loved nostalgia and fresh series. International hits such as Yellowstone, Beverly Hills, 90210, Narcos, The X-Files and Ally McBeal, as well as local favourites such as Malaysia, Tenerife and Home in the City will be among the new series. In addition, the channel offers a diverse selection of films that will appeal to both the seasoned viewer and the younger generation looking to discover retro culture.
TV3 Group’s new composition
As of 10 March, TV3 Grupp’s Estonian media portfolio includes TV3, TV6, TV3 Life, TV3 Gold, FX, FX Life, National Geographic, Nickelodeon, Nick Junior and the radio stations Star FM, Star FM Eesti, Star FM+ and Power Hit Radio, as well as the online platform Buduaar.
